Recipe By mamacatnc BUTTERMILK SALAD This is one of Jim's favorite salads/desserts Don't be fooled by the name. INGREDIENTS: 1 6 oz. Package Strawberry Jello 1 9 oz. Carton Cool Whip 1 20 oz. Can Crushed Pineapple 2 Cups Buttermilk 1 Cup Chopped Nuts (I use Pecans) PREP: Mix together into pan - Jello and pineapple Heat but DO NOT BOIL Take off heat Add Buttermilk, Nuts and Cool Whip Mix thoroughly Place in a pan or square serving dish. Refrigerate until congealed I serve plain, but you may want a dollop of cool whip on top
